TALAN Productivity Tour. Measure first.

The TALAN Productivity Tour was a useful morning. Concrete exchanges, people who do the work, conversations that went past the usual slide. One sentence stuck: productivity starts with measuring yourself and structuring what you do next.

The frame they laid down.

You cannot improve what you do not understand. Start with an honest diagnostic of the shop. The people doing the work have to be in the room. Productivity is not a memo from the top. Leaders who stay, listen, and commit change the temperature. Training is not a perk. The landscape moves. Investing in people is investing in output.

Why this sounds like our week.

Improvement does not only come from a large cheque. It comes from a deliberate look at the line, the inbox, the closet. That is how we already take a plant: walk, draw, then change something small that still works in March. The regional push for productivity in Trois-Rivières is the same idea. Coordinate the levers. Help shops raise output in a way they can keep.

Thanks to Talan and the panel, Julie White, Francis Brouillard, Alchad Alegbeh, Marie Lapointe, and Mathieu Antoine, for a morning that actually moved the needle.
