Copilot in a plant that still faxes.

The floor does not care that the licence is premium. It cares whether the spec in the answer is the spec on the wall.

We have sat in plants where Copilot is on every manager’s laptop and the packing slip is still a fax. That is not a failure of imagination. It is a map of where the work actually is.

If you point Copilot at the public web, it will sound confident about a tolerance it has never seen. If you point it at the SOP library — the one that is versioned, permissioned, and boring — it becomes a supervisor who does not get tired of the same question.

The integration is the product. SharePoint that is actually the binder. A connector into the ERP for the open order. A refusal to let the model write back. Copilot Studio when the tenant is the right room; a local model when the file should not leave the site.

The fax machine can stay a year longer than the slide wants. The copilot still has to tell the truth about today’s spec. That is the work.
